Nafysa Parpia, N.D
. is an independent practitioner at Gordon Medical Associates. Dr. Parpia specializes in the treatment of Lyme disease and other complex chronic illnesses such as autoimmunity, mold toxicity, fibromyalgia, environmental toxicity and gastrointestinal disorders. Her patients with chronic Lyme Disease are typically those who either do not do well with antibiotics, or prefer the biological medicine approach to treatment including a combination of antibiotics and detoxification methods.
In 2012, Dr. Parpia spent a year working at Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt’s clinic where she mentored with him and his physicians. From 2014-2016 Dr. Isaac Eliaz hired her as the lead Lyme doctor at his clinic. Since 2016, Dr. Parpia has been working at Gordon Medical Associates. Here she sees her own patient population and also collaborates with Dr. Eric Gordon and Dr. Wayne Anderson on detoxification protocols for their patients.
Dr. Parpia uses a functional and integrative medicine approach in treating her patients with complex chronic illness. Biochemical imbalances, epigenetic expression, toxin exposure, microbial exposure and emotional imbalance express differently in each individual patient. Thus, with compassionate listening and cutting-edge laboratory tests, Dr. Parpia creates treatment plans that are highly individualistic and healing. She strives to help her patients find balance between the external factors of their lives, their body’s internal mechanisms and their mind.
As the health of each individual is dynamic, so is the nature of the treatment plans that Dr. Parpia tailors for each patient. She uses a variety of modalities including oral and intravenous micronutrient therapy and antibiotics, injection therapies/regenerative medicine (biologic allografts, exosomes, prolozone, PRP, neural therapy) botanical medicine, functional nutrition, lifestyle counseling, and craniosacral therapy.
In October of 2019 Dr. Parpia will present at ILADS on detoxification during treatment of Lyme Disease. In April of 2019 she will be speaking at the Environmental Health Symposium on detoxification as it relates to complex cases in chronic illness. As well she spoke and taught a workshop at the American Academy of Ozone Therapy on the cosmetic use of ozone in both 2017 and 2019. Dr. Parpia is a Scientific and Medical Advisor for Neurohacker Collective.
